Now for a TED Talk. The Blue Marble picture gave us a new view of the earth. Satellites continue to give us new perspectives, but are big, expensive, and difficult to get into orbit. Will Marshall can hold his in his hand. They can be rapidly prototyped, and mass produced. The satellites take daily images of water security, crop security, urban growth, and the team are making all the data available to all. The result is democratised access to satellite information, which can help with humanitarian interventions.
