TEDx Kakuma Camp Livestream 2018
TEDx Kakuma Camp took place at Kakuma Refugee Camp in northern Kenya on 9 June 2018 – for refugees and with refugees. Local and international speakers shared their ideas about innovation, education and transformation, offering an inspiring and thought-provoking lens on the life of refugees and emphasizing extraordinary stories of resilience, contribution and creativity. The world’s first TEDx event in a refugee camp, part of a global conversation about refugees – one of the most pressing questions facing us all.
TEDxExeter curator Claire Kennedy travelled to Kakuma Camp to support refugee speakers as they prepared their talks, so we were particularly excited to join the event online and bring the livestream to the heart of Exeter.
